Is this…is this…journalism? Honest to God journalism? It’s so refreshing I could cry. Thank you for interviewing these people, for hearing their stories. It’s disgusting how they have been maligned and the government has attempted to starve and freeze them out. Lefty Canadian government and Trudeau can take the longest walk off the shortest of piers.

And seriously—God bless them. I hope they break the back of the Canadian government and remind them who they actually report to—the people. I’m so proud of them—I can’t believe it didn’t start in the US first, but close enough. I’ll take it.

I've given hundreds to their cause now through GiveSendGo and to the other legal fund set up by Ezra Levant. I will NEVER use GoFundMe again, and I'm keeping names of the companies that are firing people after the Supreme Court struck down the mandates. These truckers are directly responsible for the lifting of mandates in MA. I'm a 58 year old suburban housewife, and I'm ready to march to take back our freedom. This wasn't about science when they excluded natural immunity. This wasn't about science when vaxxed hospital workers can work while having Covid symptoms and unvaxxed hospital workers without Covid are fired. What do they think we all are? Stupid? I'm done. These people MuST be stopped, and the truckers are showing the way. LOVE them!

You should have pointed out that the swastikas and confederate flags were FALSE FLAGS put up by the government. We have pictures of Trudeau's own photographer shooting the swastika flag outside a $500/night hotel. The truckers are not staying there, and Trudeau's photographer has not photographed any of them.

Great photography, by the way. Some of the best I've seen in a while.

Thank you for this heartening story with the stunning photographs. Thank God there are men and women in this world who can think clearly and remind the rest of us what real courage looks like before we forget.

I wish people would not use as an argument for the mRNA shots that the majority of doctors have gotten in. I am married to a surgeon and he took the shots. However, there is no reason to believe physicians on the whole are any better informed about the development of these shots than the public at large. They may not have the time or the inclination to do extensive research outside of their own specialty areas. Also, physicians are as susceptible as anyone to social and financial pressures. They have families and mortgages and medical school debt. And they want to believe in the integrity of their own industry. After being vaccinated, my husband received a form letter (dictate) from our local hospital system warning doctors not to talk negatively about the shot with a thinly veiled threat of being reported to the medical licensing board for spreading misinformation. That same hospital system asked all physicians on staff to sign a letter promoting the shot which was to be published in a large spread in our local paper. My husband was one of the few who said no, despite repeated attempts by administrative staff to get him to sign. Not under any other circumstance would he issue a blanket recommendation for people who were not even his patients. Finally, consider this: I recently asked one of the surgeons in my husband’s large practice why they continue to make the office staff wear face masks when they know they do little to nothing to block the very small particles that carry this airborne respiratory virus. His response? The people who hated masks would keep their appointments and be slightly annoyed, but those who were afraid or angry would be more likely to cancel and complain. Does that sound like a science-based decision, or a preemptive knee-bending to the mob?

It’s about respect from people who were elected to serve the citizens, not rule them. Respect from the media that should be honest and fair. Respect from public health officials who should never put politics above health. People just want to be treated fairly with respect and honesty. People yearn for freedom. It behooves the powers that be to realize that.

Many believe that the current culture wars are about race, gender, etc.. or the identity of your choosing. But no, these markers are a ruse, the real battle is over class, as this article highlights. COVID and inflation are making this class distinction more profound, and people are genuinely pissed off. We should expect more protests like this until elected officials actually do something to release some of the pressure on these folks. I for one prefer this type of a protest because it cuts across all identities, it’s universal.

First off - these photographs are just…breathtaking and make my heart explode.

Second. I saw a quote from Jöel Lightbound: “not everyone can still earn money using their MacBook while at the cottage”. My husband is a contractor and remodeler. He was able to work all during the worst of the pandemic but now….now for instance lumber prices are so bananas. Under mount, soft close drawer slide production is so delayed that suppliers can’t even give us a date - first it was 29 weeks. Then it was “next year”. Now they aren’t even pretending there is a date in sight. We are extremely lucky because I happen to be a MacBook worker at the cottage (farm in this case).

I have commented here before about this - and so have many others- watching the convoy proves to me beyond a reasonable doubt that a whole other lived experience happening and just because it’s not on Instagram doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. most people aren’t actually ignorant because they didn’t go to university, they are the ones who make your country work so you can buy your avocados and sourdough, and have your artisan dinnerware delivered to your door. POC folks actually have a mind of their own and aren’t letting white liberals decide their victimhood narrative….there’s a whole other world happening that Just doesn’t give a shit what the New York Times is saying anymore. Thank G-d. People are good.

The civil disobedience in Canada will be written about in history books as one of the defining moments of, not just the Covid madness, but in whatever the next wave of history will bring us. It has been laid bare that those who call themselves the elites are actually feckless. Their power derives from convincing people they have power...now we see, the emperor has no clothes. They know it, we know it, and now most frightening for them, they know we know it.

PS - FUCK Gofundme!!!

I love it. I love that young and youngish people are waking up to the tyranny. And make no mistake it is tyranny. The government in both Canada and the US care not one whit about the common person except to tax and control and tax. There are cracks in the walls both there and here. Mask mandates are falling like snow, vaccine passports are going by the wayside.

This is the Solidarity moment of the new century. Keep it up.

This really isn't hard to figure out. We are a free people. We do not bend the knee to anyone - not BLM and the race hustlers, not to petty bureaucrats and definitely not to the mediocrities who run our nation, our largest companies, our media and our educational systems. They are the ones who cowered from the virus, who sheltered and hoarded, who zoomed and who sneered and abused the people who had to go to work each day or saw their jobs and livelihoods vaporized by the lockdowns these elitist boors cheered and swooned for. Instead of demanding answers from China - which hatched and spread the contagion - they became just like China; lying, covering up, silencing witnesses and people and strutting around issuing diktat after diktat. So no, we won't bend the knee anymore. And if fools such as Trudeau think they can intimidate people who are protesting peacefully and decently, he and his ilk may find out what unpeaceful protests look like. The elites - soft, pampered, weak and possessing only self-conceit and hired janissaries for protection - may yet see their conceits smashed if they keep pushing us.

Probably the most inspirational freedom movement since the Berlin Wall was torn down and Apartheid dismantled.

The politicians in charge are just as evil, and need to be removed.

Common Sense is hands down the best journalism in North America. Congratulations, Rupa, for a story that made my eyes pop out. And Dan Aponte's photography was just superb.
