well that was a waste an hour. He is not a man of substance. Just hurling insults, most of them inaccurate, is not a conversation.

I have enjoyed Honestly since its founding, but I am very disappointed that Bari did not challenge James Carville on his Gore 2000 election denial. The New York Times counted all the Florida votes statewide and confirmed Bush won (https://www.nytimes.com/2001/11/12/us/examining-vote-overview-study-disputed-florida-ballots-finds-justices-did-not.html). Both sides need to stop rallying their base with false narratives of stolen elections.

Well, now I know to never read anything this man says. All he espouses is democratic media talking points and lies. He is either completely uninformed or a total liar. What a waste of my time. Please stick to wise people who have something worth considering to offer to the conversation.

How can you trash Ron DeSantis and think Kamala Harris is talented. What kind of idiot goggles is he wearing? They both suck.

This reminded me why I hate politics and political reporting. Carville called Trump a rapist and couldn't believe that Republicans could still support him without acknowledging that his boss, Bill Clinton is the same and enabled by Hillary -- and Bari never followed up. Carville claimed 2000 was a stolen election despite the many analyses to the contrary -- and Bari never followed up. He condescended to everyone in the room, while playing his corn-pone act -- and Bari giggled like she was listening to a masterclass in political science. Carville said that Hillary lost because sexist attacks of being "too shrill" without mention that she failed to visit Blue-wall states that she lost by a narrow margin and which turned the election-- and Bari never followed up. The whole interview turned my stomach.

My opinion is the same. Very disappointed in the interview. I made it only half way through. Another one to add is desantis kicking Carlson’s dog. Both Carlson and desantis denied this. This was also the first time I heard this story. This was almost like a puff piece for the democrats.

He's very funny but he's dishonest. I'd call him a Democrat tool but he knows exactly what he's doing...

He's not very funny making jokes and excuses for the current administration while calling more than half the country racist morons who backed a rapist. His brand of humor might be funny if the political situation in this country wasn't so dire. His comments were outright lies with a southern spin. He claimed that the reason Kamala is so disliked is because of sexism. This was the one time Bari pushed back to say, that even she, a liberal gay thinks Kamala isn't suited for her role and he washed it away, saying that people always undermine females calling them shrill. What if they are morons? Because he couldn't intelligently say, Kamala is not the sharpest tack, he made it about sexism. If I was Bari, I would have said, how can it be sexism when millions of women don't like her. Carville would have then said it was jealousy. No Carville. The VP Kamala is a moron who is not fit for a job running a corporation, let alone, the United States of America.

What a disgrace that we have gotten to this place where we are asked to accept such crappy representation of our beautiful country. Biden didn't win the White House - they installed him. Pretending otherwise is to illustrate that you just want to go along to get along and that attitude might have worked in the past, but where this country is headed, it's no longer going to pass muster.

Carville is a political hack and I have no clue as to why Bari gave him a platform.

I love hearing many voices and perspectives! I don’t really understand why Carville says that it will be the end of the constitution (“they are TELLING us that” he says) if the republicans win. Can anyone share where he gets this?

I think it’s just trying to keep the J6 histrionics front and center, it’s the only card they have to keep trying to play. But but, the democracy! It was worse than 9-11!

Also I’m sorry, the gall of this guy to say that people are “mean to Kamala” because she is a woman. But he campaigned for Bill Clinton who was sleeping with his intern in the Oval Office and then turns around and decries Lauren Boebert (who I personally don’t care for) as a floozy. Can you not spot the absolute double standard?! Sitting president…man, horrendously wrong sexual behavior. Senator…woman, on a consensual date acting gross in public. Listen to your own backwards logic, sir. The truth is they are all depraved.

This guy….is a champagne bottle of contradictions. Seems like he is a little out of touch with the next generation if he thinks “identity and ideological politics” are over. My social feed would beg to differ.

When this topic was brought up he only referenced "culture appropriation" as being in the past - he made a few examples of it and said that's in the past. and he's correct. We are not hearing much of that anymore. Now it's all about Trans issues. This is what he did the entire interview. He evaded questions when asked about his party - and deflected bringing up the Rs and when asked about Trump or RFK he was smug and stated lies.

Bari asked him specifically what he thought about RFK and how his message is resonating with the public because no one else is talking about these issues. He never addressed the actual question. He couldn't because if he did he would have to admit that Biden is not doing anything for the American people nor is he planning on doing anything for the American people. Instead he said, Oh, we can't listen to any of Bobby's crazy rantings.... never addressing how he is actually speaking to the people in the way they want. Why is it that the Democrats can keep getting elected (cause they cheat) without actually saying how they will help the lives of Americans and showing any progress in helping the lives of Americans? If a VP at a company didn't show profits and growth and a satisfied staff that VP would be fired. But the WH job - yeah we have no metrics by which we measure your progress except how much hate you can generate for the other side.

Joe Biden 2024 - The Hate Trump Campaign - Vote for me because I am not him. I will send all your tax money to Ukraine where it will be laundered back to us, my son will get rich while you stay poor, and I may force more experimental shots on your in the future because Pharma owns me and well, I have money to make, but I promise to keep you from mean tweets and having to listen to orange man give you seven in-depth state of the union status updates each day on the fly with no notes. Come on, Man! No one wants to be that informed. You know you would rather hear me ramble and Kamala cackle. Were dumbing down America one year at a time. Get in line you dog face pony solider and remember if you don't vote for me, you aint Black.

Best thing he said in the interview was that a “person’s philosophy and quality will always trump whatever their ‘identity’ they claim”

It will, if you let it. But if you place identity as your top priority it will not.

I like Carville even thought I disagree with him alot. I sort of get why you let him run, but my word, his defense of Kamala Harris was lame and reminded me why I get so angry- one can have real problems with Harris that have nothing to do with her gender. And to bring up the 2000 election? one can google articles in which CBS and other news agencies tried to recount votes and prove Gore won and they failed. Its annoying that the audience was clapping- they want to continue to believe these lies rather than accept that Harris might actually deserve the majority of the criticism and that Gore lost. To me, that's when it became OK not to accept the results of an election.

A significant number of Dem voters think Russian actually changed the vote totals. It might be the same as the portion of Rs who buy "stop the steal," and each side's election conspiracies have about the same level of evidence.

That election is when I lost faith in polling. Florida is in two time zones. The press called the election for Gore when it was 7 p.m. eastern and eastern Florida polls closed. Never mind that the Florida panhandle had not cast votes. The panhandle was traditionally conservative. How many did not vote as a result of what we would today say is misinformation?

I’m sorry. When Carville starts with Trump is going to destroy the constitution, he’s not an honest broker.

Trump will "destroy the independent judiciary" when a significant number of Dems are advocating, and Biden is flirting with, packing the Supreme Court. Plus they'd love to delete 10-20% of the Bill of Rights.

Carville is usually spot-on but his defense of Kamala Harris was completely baffling. Opposition to her has nothing to do with her female voice being shrill or shrieking. The problem is that she can't put together two coherent sentences. Harris, like many men in the Beltway, is an empty suit but she's not adept at hiding it.

Typical democrat, deny and project. Can't believe he actually said "No evidence" on the Joe Biden / Hunter Biden debacle. I was looking for some honest self reflections but he's just as worse as the others.

I'd always had some respect for his political acumen but when he said that hack toady Goldman and delegate "reporters who write things I don't like should be imprisoned" Plaskett are smart, I lost a lot of that respect. The only thing that can make the impeachment inquiry hearings go the way he thinks they will is the rank partisanship of most of the press.

I do love the irony of Carville claiming the re-election of Trump will be the end of the Constitution when the Biden administration literally wipes its geriatric ass with it.

Thank you for saying this! That was such an easy topic/comment for Bari to push back on. When he said that outrageous statement it was like a campaign slogan.

It would have been so easy for Bari to say, "well some might argue that the Biden Administration has done the most damage to our constitution (mandating a experimental injection - are you people now paying attention?) than any other president in modern times." or "Trump as president for 4 years, didn't actually do anything that harmed our Constitution, in fact, he took actions that strengthen it." but nope, she just let his proclamation hang there like some noble prediction for young minds to absorb as fact.

I find this very suspect Bari. I am NOT arguing this point for TRUMP. I am arguing for TRUTH! It is not true that a Trump presidency will end our Constitution.

In fact, it's more likely that another Biden Administration will get us closer to losing our Constitution all together because the Global elite are in a hostile takeover of America and attempting to take away all sovereign rights from individual countries making us accountable to a one world government, and, anyone snoozing on this fact and not pushing back when hacks like Carville spew their lies, because their handlers have them by the balls, is complicit in the destruction of America as we know it. Period Full Stop!

All Democrats keep saying is electing Trump (or any Republican) will end democracy! Say that to the Pastor who had multiple FBI agents raid his house, in front of his children, for protecting his child in front of an abortion clinic. He is proud of Clinton, the womenizer. Tell all the young people who cannot afford to buy a house, that the economy is GREAT! All the doctors who were silenced, as commanded by the White House, from telling truths about COVID. Bari did not push at all.

Or when he said “MAGA is based on fear of colored people” and she said nothing. Truly disappointing but she was clearly fangirling. Put that clown in front of Megyn Kelly please.

I couldn't believe Bari didn't push back on that. Propaganda via repetition works on everyone. Carville is nothing more than a political hack. He sounded like a toy with a pull-string in his responses. From his responses on RFK to Kamala. Just mind blowing that Bari didn't vomit on her lap.

Carville keep drilling home that the democratic party is the Educated party - the party of education - Education ='s Programming and Learning ='s Understanding

So the Democratic party is just a bunch of programmed people who are voting their country into non existence. Robots for the destruction of America. How nice.

The past 4 years have highlighted, for me, the lack of substance many of these "so called" educated political class. They are not smart at all. They sound like moronic propaganda clowns shilling for someone somewhere with their statements that are the opposite of the actual Truth!
